New Research Strand on Cultural Diversity at the Global Governance Programme of the EUI

Anna Triandafyllidou is starting a new Research Strand in the Global Governance Programme of the European University Institute, Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies.

This new Research Strand focuses on the new and old forms of cultural diversity that challenge contemporary societies. It investigates the normative, legal and empirical aspects of such challenges with the aim of generating policy relevant knowledge. The Research Strand develops training programmes in the field of cultural diversity and governance; cultural diversity and entrepreneurship; cultural diversity and international relations.

The research, policy advice and training developed in this Research Strand takes issue with current global challenges such as the global financial crisis and how this impacts relations between majorities and minorities. It privileges interaction and dialogue among academics, experts and policy makers from different continents seeking also to maximise what Europe can learn from other continents.
